Kids like to recognize things, their own things preferably. So, instead of buying, it's ever so easy to make a little photobook with random items for them to find. Kind of an "I spy" book.
I took photo's of lego figures, crayons, puzzle pieces, foamstickers, alphabeth letters, cars, animals, cups, etc. etc. all sorts of things inside the house.
Printed them out on 4"x6" photopaper and stuck them in a flipover photo album. Here some random photo's
