Fishing birthday-cake

Roy and Yannick have there b'days 2 weeks apart. We decided to combine there party this year and that worked out really well.

The idea was to take all the invited kids fishing, so the cake obviously had to have a theme along that line too
I ended up making a pond out of cupcakes, thanks to play-mobil we had some fisherman and fisherkids, one of them even caught a fish!!!
After cake and opening pressies (thanx to everybody, the boys LOVED every single one of them) we went off to the trout hatchery
First they learned all about fish, how they live, what they eat.
Then they all walked around, looked around, touched everything and learned lots
Then we went of fishing on dry land, how to cast, how to wheel the line back in and all that sort
Learned how to hold on to fishingrods
Reeling in
When we knew how to cast and reel in we went back inside to learn what to do and more important what NOT to do when you caught a fish
And off we went to the pond
Following the leader
All over the hatchery
Untill we arrived at the pond
One of the leaders scratching his head, I could hear him think "now didn't I explain that they had to be 20 feet away from each other??"
One fisherman
after an other
Getting lines tangled up
and again
Loving miss Paulette
another fisherman
and some more fishermen
Tyler looking for his hook
Ah, there it is :o)
Joel was the first one to catch a fish, being really surprised himself as this was his first time fishing ever
Kylian caught the biggest fish ever (according to the leaders they hadn't seen one this big being caught before) the big gobble up gobbled up the hook.
Trying to "catch" a photo
Ha, just before it flew himself back into the pond...
Nico in deep concentration
A row of fishermen

Tyler caught a fish, but did NOT want to touch, kiss or throw it back
So Charlie put it back for Tyler, good job Charlie!!
Roy waiting for a new hook, and that's what the party was all about, having fun, learning lots and show how to be patient. The kids LOVED it!!

So that's why he didn't listen

Counting the colours of the rainbow

Yannick, trying to look innocent

Roy just caught his clowns-nose

Trouble

Double trouble

Tripple trouble

Thinking of trouble

Not sure what he's trying to proof here

Ehuh......

Little bit too much hot pepper there, Roy?

Catch yourself a bun and you have your hotdog

And another bun and your meatball will be taken care of too :o)

No need adding ketchup :o)
