Springbaking

Now it's springtime, we thought we'd do some springbaking.
Nests comes in mind when we think of spring.
So that's what we made. No baking, just melting choc chips, stirring ricecrispies through them and filling cupcakes. Making sure to dent in the middle a little bit for the eggs.

Kids put the papers in the cupcakes and tasted eggs while mum does the mixing.

And there they are!!

Spring!!

It's spring time, time for flowers, time for colour, time for the springclean (or so I heard, still not sure what they mean by that) but yes, spring time, flower time.
But,............... what to do when you don't live in Holland anymore and 1 flower is as expensive as a whole bunch of flowers you were used to pay??
Right!! You make your own, or have a bunch of kids make you a bunch. We saved some egg cartons, pulled out the paint, some yellow thick paper and glue and of they went.

Cut out some cups for the trumpet, or "cup of the daffodil" as our kids call it.

Take your paintbrush

And paint and start painting

Kylian wanted to cut the flowers by himself, but that was a bit difficult yet.

I stuck some tape to a satay prikker, taped that onto green paper and rolled it up, taped it together again with some tape, to prevent it from unrolling again.

Out some glue on the egg carton and stick them on your yellow leaves

And here is the bunch, your bunch, a bunch of flowers, stick them in a vase and put them on your table to enjoy.
