The history of guns

I wanted to know how guns were invented and why. I always thought they were made for killing animals to provide for food.

At some point in human history some guy hit some one else with a rock. His friends hit the guy back until he lost. A person realized that hitting some one with a stick was easier
than throwing a rock and the person dodging it.

 The Chinese invented gun powder , they were playing with black powder then they realized that you could explode the black powder then they called it gun powder.

The first gun was made about 1000 years ago. They used bamboo and gun powder to fire a spear.
The first real gun was made in the late 13th century.

 

The first hand-held cannons were invented in the 1400s these were called the matchlocks.
In the modern age the hand-held cannons were made into the flint lock pistols.

Owning a gun gave protection and a status symbol to the rich people.
A shooter poured powder that was loose into a barrel. A lead ball projectile was then put on top of the powder instead of the ramrod.

This stick is called a ramrod, it was used by pushing it into the gun with great force, that would push the hammer down to release the bullet.

Then it was later transformed into a basic features of the gun, a barrel made of metal and high nitrate gun powder.
High pressure gas is caused by a combustion, (normally by lighting the gunpowder) this makes the bullet from the gun shoot out at a very high speed.

A "repeating" firearm is a gun which can be fired more than once and usually holds up to 5 cartridges.                                                                                                         
A revolver is a gun with a rotating cylinder and it holds a fixed number of cartridges; the cylinder "revolves'' to line up with each of the chambers with the rear of the barrel.
The Gatling gun is the first successful rapid firearm used in the American war in the 1860s. It was used with a hand crank which has multiple rotating barrels.

No one knows who invented guns, but we do know that Richard Gatling invented the first successful gun.

Here are some guns that are in a gun book I used to get my information.

The  Mannlicher M1895 it's Origin is Austria, it's weight is 3.76 KG, and it's barrel length is 76.5 cm.

There is the browning gp35 it's origin is Belgium , it's weight is 0,99 KG, and it's barrels length is 11.8 cm.

I made these guns using dashes and slashes ;) but when we composed it, it looked all silly. So we took a screenshot and posted that instead.

I learned that gunpowder was discovered by accident and guns were invented to kill people.
